Job Description
Aecom Mississauga is recruiting a Street Lighting and Traffic Signal Designer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of lighting and traffic signal layouts
- Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical details
- Performs photometric analysis of lighting systems
- Performs voltage drop calculations
- Preparation of contract documents and specifications
- Site visits
- Follows company and project procedures and policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Performs routine tasks while working under supervision.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical College Diploma – Electrical specialty
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideally 6+ months relevant industry (traffic signals and roadway lighting) experience.
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of AutoLUX and/or AGI32
- Knowledge MTO design standards
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- No sponsorship offered for this role
