Job Description

Aecom Mississauga is recruiting a Street Lighting and Traffic Signal Designer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of lighting and traffic signal layouts
  • Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical details
  • Performs photometric analysis of lighting systems
  • Performs voltage drop calculations
  • Preparation of contract documents and specifications
  • Site visits
  • Follows company and project procedures and policies to achieve set results and deadlines. 
  • Performs routine tasks while working under supervision. 


    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Technical College Diploma – Electrical specialty
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ideally 6+ months relevant industry (traffic signals and roadway lighting) experience.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD
    • Knowledge of AutoLUX and/or AGI32
    • Knowledge MTO design standards
    • Possess a valid driver’s license 
    • No sponsorship offered for this role
