The Opportunity
The Heist is looking for an Intermediate Editor to join our post production team in Vancouver. We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented editor with experience cutting commercial and branded content. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our VFX, motion design, and creative teams to help shape engaging visual stories from edit through final delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Edit commercial and branded content across broadcast, social campaigns, and integrated projects
- Collaborate closely with VFX artists, motion designers, and creative teams to ensure seamless integration of post elements
- Support the editorial process from concept through final delivery
- Assist with finishing tasks including online, colour prep, conform, and versioning
- Provide creative input on pacing, structure, and storytelling
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all deliverables
- Work collaboratively with senior editors, producers, and the broader post team
- Be available to travel to the US for shoots when required
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience editing commercial, branded, or agency content
- Experience supporting finishing and delivery for broadcast and digital formats
- Understanding of VFX and motion pipelines, and comfort collaborating with those teams
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- A portfolio showcasing strong storytelling and editorial fundamentals
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow within a team
- Legally able to travel to the United States when necessary
Bonus Points!
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, with knowledge of After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Flame as a plus
- Understanding of storytelling across platforms – broadcast, social, digital, experiential
- Agency or post house experience with global brand campaigns
