Job Description:

What will you work on?

As an eCommerce Data Analyst, you will hold a supporting role for the team with preparing and analyzing core eCommerce performance reports as well as running projection models at an item, brand and retailer level. Additionally, you will play a key role in building and maintaining our eCommerce data infrastructure to equip stakeholders with holistic macro and micro insights across the entire eCommerce flywheel

How will you create impact?

70% Data Analytics

  • Being a self-starter is critical to this role. Success relies on curiosity, proactiveness and mining for insights as business cases arise.
  • Deliver analytics and insights into customer performance, trends, shopper journey, behavior and demographics by utilizing various data sources and analytics platforms to connect the dots
  • Create and maintain item-level reporting to support eCommerce brand teams in weekly priority item reviews for US and CA
  • Assess item/brand level performance, conduct root-cause analysis and assist eCommerce brand teams in evaluating performance
  • Be a key resource for historical analysis and predictive modeling around core metrics such as sales, traffic and inventory
  • Work with an entrepreneurial mindset to uncover opportunities and identify risks by diving into ad hoc analytics in the eCommerce flywheel, including digital shelf, selection strategy, competitive and inventory factors.
  • Ability to think critically and create relationships from different data sources
  • Be a tech stack super user with key SaaS tools such as Stackline, Pacvue, Keepa and Scintilla, and collaborate with key tech partners to deliver reporting and insight capabilities.
  • Consistently seek ways to simply, streamline and automate work processes to be efficient and work smarter, not harder
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards in Power BI

30% Data Engineering/Science

  • Develop and manage automated ETL pipelines, ETL work flows, schema and storage layers in Big Query using SQL
  • Help build and maintain API connections, Data Transfers and other scheduled workflows through Apache Airflow
  • Initiate, adopt and maintain SOPs for data integrity and standardization
  • Work cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to improve analytical capabilities and reports through construction of action-oriented BI dashboards

What are your skills and experience?

  • Related sales/eCommerce analyst experience
  • Knowledge in SQL is preferred
  • Experience in Google Big Query & Cloud Platform is preferred
  • Highly proficient technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge in Power BI (including Power Query/Power Pivot)
  • Experience using eCommerce SaaS products such as Stackline, Pacvue,  Helium10 and Keepa is an asset
  • Knowledge in python is an asset
  • Knowledge of CPG, eCommerce or Retail concepts, standards and operational practices

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $70,000 to $80,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master ltd. is a multi-provincial employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other provinces.
