At Nokia Fixed Networks (FN), you join a world leader in Telecommunication. We focus on constant innovation, developing state-of-the-art Fiber/PON products including management solutions. You will join the Market Development Team in BBN (Broadband Networks BU). This Market Development Team has strong focus on developing a Fiber/PON based portfolio for the Enterprise Market as well as the Data Center market. Responsibilities include Product/Portfolio Management, Go-To-Market activities, as well as Partner engagements.

The product/portfolio management team has strong focus on effectively defining and sustaining so-called blueprint solutions for the different market segments. This team owns the E2E solution, with focus on lifecycle support of all key building blocks of the solution: OLTs, ONTs and management solutions. All this in close cooperation with the respective PLM teams for these building blocks.
 

Responsibilities

Are you passionate about creating best-in-class innovative solutions for the growing Campus LAN market and Data Center market, based on our strengths in PON technology? And do you like to work with our customers and partners in this space to jointly work the best-possible introduction scenarios with them? As part of the Market Development team, you will:

  • Work closely with our partners, customers and (pre)sales teams to define and help develop the best possible end-to-end solution. With strong focus on supporting the “right” management solution for each segment: understand market requirements and translate them into product requirements. 

  • Closely cooperate with the FN PLM and R&D teams to come to a solutions roadmap, including proper handling of priorities and segmentation.

  • Continuously drive for product improvements, by using your in-depth technical market and product knowledge to improve and extend our existing portfolio.

We are looking for a team player with business acumen and with good product/technical background, who will work closely together with peer (R&D and PLM) groups across different functional teams. You can conceptualize the big picture as well as dive into product details to deliver qualitative output.

You will pro-actively discuss with new and existing customers on their required management solution(s) and use this information to drive the (Enterprise) product roadmap.
 

Qualifications

General Skills

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent background

  • Good knowledge of networking & telecommunication concepts

  • Customer-focus: understand customer needs (and customer use cases), and translate this into product requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills to many stakeholders: customers, partners, sales, pre-sales, PLM, R&D, NPI.

  • Coordination skills, to steer other teams in terms of feature development, with priority setting and by providing relevant background

  • Ambition to grow in terms of business accumen (manage profitability) and customer interaction (convincing customers)

 

Specific Technical Skills:

  • Good Technical Domain knowledge on management solutions and/or controller solutions in the Fixed Access space.

  • Sound understanding of PON technology

  • Knowledge of the Campus LAN market and/or Data Center market is a plus

  • Knowledge on traditional Enterprise (Ethernet switching based) systems and their management is a plus 

  • Knowledge or willingness to understand (IT) security requirements in various segments of the market and how they translate into solution requirements (with link to e.g. OpenShift).

  • Experience with customer-facing roles or responsibilities

  • Familiar with requirement capturing processes

  • Willingness to travel (for customer site visits when needed)
