Role Description

The Document Design Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to join the global Shared Services arena within FNZ. The role is extremely varied and will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to work in a global team which designs, builds and maintains client outputs across the FNZ platforms using a market leading software application called Smart Communications. Client facing outputs can range from standard account maintenance documentation, emails and notifications to complex pension illustrations, statements and contract notes.

This role will report into the Lead Document Design Analyst who reports into the Client Facing Outputs Team Lead.

Team Responsibilities

Working within a global team spanning FNZ Europe, Asia Pacific and North America the successful candidate will work with technical consultants and project based solution design consultants to produce high quality design specifications across the FNZ platforms.

Experience Required

  • Understanding of XML data structures
  • Understanding of XSD schemas
  • SQL server skills
  • Good knowledge of data processing systems
  • Experience in system testing and release processes
  • Good technical writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the FNZ core document repository based on evolving business and regulatory requirements
  • Create and maintain individual document repositories for new platforms
  • Deliver Outputs workshops alongside the Technical Analyst and project team to discuss the core outputs which are available with new clients and the process for reviewing and updating document design specifications
  • Collaborate with FNZ platform teams and the end client to conduct a gap analysis, and to support the design of any bespoke documents which may be required
  • Conduct review, feedback and sign off sessions to ensure document design specifications are created to the highest standard to build and to test from
  • Build good knowledge of the FNZ platforms and propositions in order to know the data within the platforms and how this is structured for use within the documents
  • Work to implement documentation on the step by step testing of document output triggers for the core FNZ outputs
  • Investigate test automation of the core output triggers
  • Peer review and unit testing of documents against design specifications
  • Collaborate closely with platform teams throughout the test cycle, to analyze and resolve issues as quickly as possible and to provide solutions as required
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the wider FNZ audience on document outputs, processes and procedures

Please note this is a hybrid role role. Only candidates currently living or willing to relocated to Toronto will be considered.
