This position is for our Moll Berczy Haus and McNicoll Manor retirement homes, located in 1020 McNicoll Avenue, 4th and 5th Floor, Scarborough, Ontario

What you’ll be doing 

• Work with the Executive Director and departmental managers to maximize resident satisfaction.
• Participate in Care Conferences, complete all resident assessments and develop service plans.
• Effectively manage a team of people, health care records, resident care and monitoring department financials.
• Take a hands-on approach to leading, mentoring, and filling in as required. Oversee and supervise medication administration, delivery of services and clinical programs.
• Follow all relevant Extendicare, Provincial and Federal Acts and Regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the community residents and family members, employees, and managers along with the regional support team and agencies. 

What you bring 

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse from the applicable provincial professional regulatory body
• Degree or Diploma
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant clinical experience and one (1) year of leadership experience
• Union Management Experience (where the residence is unionized)
• Current C.P.R. and First Aid designation required
• Above average computer skills

• Must provide a complete and current (within three months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.
