KUBRA is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Director, Security Architecture to lead our Information Security team!
This pivotal role involves crafting and executing security solutions that protect our infrastructure, applications, and data, aligning security initiatives with business goals. We are seeking a visionary leader to stay ahead of emerging technologies and security threats, oversee a team of seasoned security experts, and collaborate across departments to maintain a robust and compliant security framework, both in the cloud and on-prem. This is a hybrid opportunity out of our office in Mississauga, ON.

- Design, implement, and maintain a scalable security architecture that covers identity and access management, data protection, network, and application security.
- Conduct regular security assessments, testing, and code analysis of KUBRA-owned applications.
- Assess security requirements and ensure controls are implemented within the SDLC process.
- Govern cloud and on-premises security by enforcing compliance with industry standards and internal requirements.
- Identify security controls based on standards like CSA, NIST, and PCI to drive secure solutions.
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats in cloud environments.
- Formulate a data strategy aligned with business processes and contractual obligations.
- Manage security architecture budgets and cost estimates for projects.
- Ensure data accessibility aligns with roles and security protocols across platforms.
- Maintain logging and monitoring systems for critical infrastructure.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends to proactively address risks.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps and infrastructure teams to resolve vulnerabilities.
- Monitor security metrics and report effectiveness to senior management.
- Evaluate and choose security vendors supporting KUBRA’s objectives, including testing third-party solutions.

What skills do you need?
- Over 10 years of Security Architecture experience with a strong focus on cloud security.
- At least 5 years in Information Security Risk management and industry best practices.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the security field.
- Deep knowledge of DevSecOps and Application Security practices.
- Expertise in cloud computing technologies, particularly cloud-native security solutions.
- Proficiency with industry security frameworks and standards such as CSA-CCM, ISO, NIST, PCI, and SOC.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Education Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Certifications Desired:
- SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture)
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
