What you'll be doing

As the Director, Sales Effectiveness, you’ll responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance sales performance, productivity, and client engagement across Business Banking. You’ll manage a team that help drive sales effectiveness opportunities for frontline teams, leveraging analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve portfolio insights, lead generation, and business planning. You’ll provide strategic direction for initiatives that support business growth, such as improving sales reporting, optimizing the use of Leads, enabling the frontline with data-driven insights and developing sales and client service capabilities across all frontline roles. You’ll also oversees efforts to simplify and improve operational efficiency through analytics and AI, working closely with partners across the organization. This role combines sales strategy, data-driven decision-making, and innovation to ensure Business Banking has the tools, insights, and processes to grow efficiently and effectively. You’ll be working under the direction of the Senior Director, Business Effectiveness, National Office, Business Banking.

How you'll succeed

  • Sales Reporting and Insights - Oversee the development of reporting tools and dashboards that provide leadership and frontline with clear visibility into portfolios, opportunities, and performance. Partner with analytics teams to translate data into insights that inform sales strategies and business decisions. Ensure reporting and insights are simplified, actionable, and embedded into business routines. Identifying best practice insights leveraging sales performance results to identify key themes to enhance our holistic sales practices approach and potential areas for further development.

  • ECRM and Lead Management - Lead initiatives that leverage ECRM data and AI to generate, prioritize, and distribute high-quality leads to frontline teams. Partner with ECRM, Leads and Marketing teams to refine segmentation, targeting, and lead assignment models. Develop processes to track and measure lead conversion and pipeline progress, ensuring alignment with sales goals.

  • AI, Analytics, and Process Efficiency  - Champion the integration of AI-driven insights into everyday business management practices, from sales planning to process improvement. Identify opportunities to simplify or streamline key business processes using data analytics and automation. Drive initiatives to optimize frontline productivity and improve client engagement through better data visibility and actionable insights.

  • Leadership and People Management - Set appropriate context when assigning work to team members ensure that individuals’ roles support the achievement of the business priorities. Provide direction and mentorship to the Sales Effectiveness & Reporting team, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Business Banking leadership, Product, Analytics, Operations, Enterprise AI, Technology, Risk partners, and external vendors to deliver end-to-end solutions that drive business value. Influence senior stakeholders by translating complex analytics into clear business narratives that support decision-making.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate strong understanding of Business Banking, sales processes, and frontline sales models. You bring strong data management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to turn data into insights that drive action.

  • It’s an asset if you can demonstrate experience working with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Have knowledge of ECRM platforms, particularly for lead management and reporting. Understanding of AI and automation tools (Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Azure AI Studio, etc.) used to enhance productivity.  Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices in a financial services context  

  • You are a strategic thinker with proven ability to design and deliver sales enablement programs and tools. You have experience in leveraging analytics, automation, and AI to improve business performance.

You have proven ability to influence, and drive results through strong communication skills and collaboration across multiple stakeholders (BB leadership, Frontline, Product, Operations, Risk, Tech, Digital, Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, vendors).
