Job DescriptionThe Bose Luxury Audio Team (McIntosh and Sonus faber) is in search of a Director of Sales, North & South America. This Sales Leader for the Americas will partner with his/her peers to develop, deploy, execute and manage sales growth initiatives, while driving customer engagement consistent with the company’s core values of innovation, technical excellence, and passion for superior audio. Most importantly, this leader will elevate sales throughout the company and bring a strong point-of-view to the senior leadership team. This executive will report directly to the Vice President of Global Sales, Bose Luxury Audio Business.
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
- Set and ensure flawless execution of the Americas sales strategy to achieve revenue and profit targets as well as category growth objective.
- Decide on the strategic role of each channel to achieve a balance of customer reach, brand building and financial viability.
- Effectively manage channel conflict, ensuring a unified customer experience across channels.
- Ensure strategic planning with key retail partners for mutual success; plan to achieve product pricing position in all markets.
- Drive development and execution of sales plan across channels and decide on plan to course correct if product performance is off track.
- Provide input on sales targets by category, channel, region and country.
- Elevate our strategy, execution and capabilities in Ecommerce, new digital selling channels and customer service.
- Hire, train, and develop strong sales leadership talent.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and oversee implementation of marketing strategy, in support of sales and brand goals.
- Ensure that ROI is maximized.
- Oversee development of strong, effective launch and lifecycle management plans that meet targets for sales contribution.
- Drive plans that deliver brand metrics (awareness, sentiment) as well as financial metrics.
- Ensure that all sales channel merchandising and marketing plans, including consumer promotions and trade marketing as well as website and store execution, enhance the brand.
- Share market knowledge and provide input on key product and strategic marketing decisions and future state of customer experience.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Future-focused and results-orientated commercial leader who has demonstrated a rapid career progression across dynamic companies and industries.
- S/he will have extensive sales experience from a contemporary and growing industry, such as consumer electronics, technology, or other fast-growing business, and bring a track record of proven sales results. S/he must have strong sales discipline across international accounts, category management, revenue management and trade marketing.
- Directly managed sales teams for a minimum of ten years
- This executive will have experience leading multi-functional teams with the ability to influence other functions and drive coordination and collaboration across groups, even without reporting lines.
- Direct experiences managing retail partners in both North & South America.
Other key criteria include the following:
- An exceptional track record of account relationship management, strong negotiation skills, an analytical approach to business management, an ability to make decisions in line with commercial fundamentals while maximizing P&L, and effective in motivating and developing talent.
- S/he will have a strong track record of execution against sales goals and a proven ability to lead teams.
- This role will require 75% travel (domestic and international)
- The role is remote based, the ideal candidate will be based in the Northeast of the U.S.

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Field Sales, Massachusetts is: $165,900-$228,150.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
