What it’s like to be a Northbridge Director Risk Services

The Director is responsible for assisting in defining and the implementation of the strategic direction of Risk Services from a regional perspective. The Director is also responsible for managing and ensuring the appropriate provision of Risk Services advisory, consulting, training, and education services in an assigned region and managing the operational day to day functions of the department and staff.

If you are great at:

  • Driving a culture rooted in customer safety through effective communication of core NBFC values and Risk Services mission statement

  • Managing hiring, development, talent and performance management, and succession planning

  • Developing and maintain the Risk Services strategy in support of the overall NBFC business strategy  

  • Determining and prioritize annual initiatives based on business and strategic value

  • Developing detailed functional team operational plans, budgets, priorities, and projects.

  • Executing annual plans to help internal and external customers mitigate risks through technical advice, training, and consulting

  • Meeting or exceeding the annual risk assessment plan

  • Leading and overseeing the gathering of market and customer intelligence on risk management to support business strategies

  • Monitoring industry trends in risk management (including our competitors): identifying key influencers; describing trends; determining implications; identifying threats, opportunities, and recommendations for Risk Services.

And you have:

  • Minimum University Degree or College Diploma and/or industry-specific experience in a similar position.

  • Minimum 15 years industry experience.

  • CRSP or CRM professional designation or equivalent is a definite asset.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of risk and insurance management including business sector standards, codes and regulations.

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license in good standing.

  • Ability to cross the USA / Canada International border without restriction.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000, which reflects the expected base pay  not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
