Role Description

As the Director of Product for Dropbox’s Web platform, you will drive the evolution of Dropbox’s web experience with a customer-centric focus.  Dropbox.com serves as the front door to our brand story and positioning, and you’ll play a key role in shaping and advancing our brand narrative. You will also define the vision, strategy, and execution of web initiatives that elevate the user experience, aligning closely with business objectives and user needs This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, making it critical to Dropbox’s digital presence and its impact across the entire user lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a strategic roadmap for Dropbox’s web experience that aligns with business objectives, brand positioning, and customer lifecycles.
  • Customer Obsessed: Champion a customer-first mindset, using insights from research and data to identify opportunities, drive product decisions, and optimize the web experience.
  • Web Roadmap Development: Lead the development and prioritization of the web roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and user needs. Continuously assess and refine the roadmap based on user feedback, data insights, and trends.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, data science, and broader marketing teams to create a cohesive and impactful web experience that supports key initiatives and goals.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Leverage analytics and A/B testing to inform product enhancements, track performance, and continuously optimize the user journey and conversion funnel on the web platform.
  • Marketing Alignment: Collaborate across the organization to ensure that product decisions align with marketing strategies and company initiatives that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and develop a high performing team fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for the website within the marketing organization, keeping stakeholders informed about product progress, performance, and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Product Management Experience: 10+ years in product management, with a strong track record in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of web-based products; at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a high-growth, digital-first environment.
  • Product & Web Expertise: Deep knowledge of web technologies, user experience principles, and product lifecycle management; experience optimizing for metrics such as engagement, conversion, and retention is highly desirable.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a product team, fostering a collaborative culture focused on innovation, execution, and impact.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to leverage data to inform product decisions, measure impact, and optimize user experience and product performance.
  • User-Centric Mindset: Expertise in user research and feedback processes to build user-first product features that align with user needs and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Collaboration Skills: Experience working cross-functionally with design, engineering, product marketing, and campaigns teams to deliver a cohesive product vision and seamless web experiences.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting product roadmaps and updates to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both PLG and SLG motions within a SaaS company
  • Experience with both front end and backend web technologies including CMS platforms such as AEM and Webflow
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics

Compensation

Canada Pay Range

$170,000$230,000 CAD
