Job Description:

Title: Director, Product Management

Location: Remote (EST or CST). Occasional domestic and/or U.S. travel for in-person events and meetings.

Why This Role Exists

At Phreesia, we're transforming the healthcare experience through intelligent technology that helps patients connect with care more easily and helps providers operate more efficiently.

As a Director of Product Management, you'll lead our portfolio of payment collection and processing solutions, shaping the strategy, execution, and evolution of products that help healthcare organizations achieve stronger financial outcomes. In this leadership role, you'll help modernize patient payments, improve collections, reduce friction, and shape the future of how millions of patients pay for care.

Success in this role requires equal parts vision, leadership, and execution. You'll lead and develop a talented team of Product Managers, partner directly with customers to understand their biggest challenges, and collaborate with leaders across the organization to deliver products that drive meaningful business outcomes. We're looking for a thoughtful, strategic leader who enjoys solving complex problems and isn't afraid to get into the weeds; someone who makes data-informed decisions and fosters an environment where teams can do their best work.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

  • Lead a product team to ensure the overall success of a portfolio of payment applications including point of service collections, card on file, statements and payment plans.

  • Be a product champion within our company and for our clients.

  • Work with the executive team to set the vision and strategy for the payment product suite.

  • Drive product go-to-market strategies and execute on these plans with the support of marketing and client solutions colleagues.

  • Build business cases for new products and feature enhancements by collaborating with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations groups.

  • Analyze competition and determine features and positioning to offer best in class products to our customers.

  • Track product and business metrics to drive outcomes.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You don’t need to check every box — but this role will feel energizing if you have:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including hiring, mentoring and team management.

  • Ability to set a product vision and strategy and to translate it into a concrete product roadmap.

  • Experience in developing and launching successful payment processing applications or similar applications.

  • Experience in leading platform-as-a-service products, prioritizing and building APIs that empower and support other internal teams.

  • Experience in the payments industry, or with a payment solution, including online/ecommerce, card present/POS, and recurring/card on file payments.

  • Experience with creating and integrating to payment APIs/SDKs, including hosted payment options, NFC/EMV, and P2PE is a plus.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Deep interest in user experience, creating and analyzing products.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

We Do Have A Few Requirements To Check

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment using an Agile development methodology

Where You’ll Work

This is a remote role where you’ll collaborate closely with distributed engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to build software that improves the healthcare experience for patients and providers.
