PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Director, Product is responsible for driving product strategy, prioritization, and execution across the full product lifecycle. This role partners with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to deliver solutions that align with business objectives, support client needs, and drive measurable outcomes. The Director, Product is accountable for product prioritization, backlog management, and roadmap execution, while supporting go-to-market activities, pricing, and product adoption.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand customer workflows, identify unmet needs, and inform product opportunities
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, priorities, and progress to stakeholders and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Own product prioritization across roadmap, enhancements, and defects, and make trade-off decisions aligned with business value
  • Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Serve as primary Product Owner within Agile (Scrum), and partner with Engineering to support clear requirements, efficient delivery, and alignment with business needs
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to support clear roles, responsibilities, and alignment across product delivery and customer experience
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to facilitate go-to-market strategy, including positioning, pricing, product launches, and adoption
  • Monitor product performance using analytics and client feedback and support ongoing product improvements
  • Manage the product lifecycle, and adjust roadmap priorities based on business needs and performance insights
  • Collaborate with IT and Engineering to deliver scalable, integrated solutions across APIs, SaaS, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to governance, data privacy, security, and third-party vendor requirements
  • Contribute to product performance, including revenue growth, cost awareness, and overall product effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES:

    • Strong understanding of product management practices, including product planning, backlog ownership, prioritization, and lifecycle management
    • Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and SDLC practices
    • Ability to prioritize work, make trade-off decisions, and align decisions with business objectives
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
    • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate user needs into effective solutions
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
    • Working knowledge of pricing, market dynamics, and product performance
    • Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Ability to manage complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders and workstreams

    EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
    • At least five years of product management and/or product owner experience in software, technology, or related environments
    • Experience working with software engineering teams in Agile (Scrum or SAFe) environments
    • Demonstrated ability to own prioritization, manage backlogs, and drive roadmap execution
    • Proven ability to solve complex problems, make trade-offs, and work independently
    • Experience collaborating across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Service, and Operations
    • Strong familiarity with product and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, ADO, Confluence)
    • Experience in B2B, legal, fintech, or workflow-driven environments preferred
