The ideal candidate is well-versed in crafting 3-5 year experience design strategies that establish a north-star, which can be used as a guidepost to influence roadmaps and designs, so we might capitalize on near term impact while incrementally delivering toward our longer-term objectives. They should be a solution-oriented strategist and a systems-thinker through and through, motivated by uncovering and solving wicked hard problems, passionate about inspiring and provoking customer-centered innovation. They should care deeply about building and growing designers at all levels to deliver their highest quality work in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment.

  • Lead the evolution of Clio Manage so that it can be easily customized as we scale to support new practice areas (e.g., personal injury, family law, legal aid, etc.)

  • Lead the evolution of Manage so that the experience can scale to support the needs of our growing customer base with a specific focus on moving up-market and supporting larger firm sizes and more complex multi-user workflows.

  • Work with peers across the product design team to align and deliver a cohesive platform experience focused on delivering a comprehensive, delightful and integrated experience across the entire Clio ecosystem.

  • Drive clarity and alignment across design efforts, across initiative and product boundaries.

  • Contribute to frameworks for assessing and scaling design quality.

  • Contribute to process and operations to mature and scale design.

  • Build a high-performing team; invest in coaching and career development; attracting, hiring and retaining top talent; and delivering high-quality outcomes for our customers and our business.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading a team of designers to conceptualize, build and scale experiences across complex ecosystems.

  • Expertise delivering clear, connected experiences across product and persona boundaries.

  • Equally comfortable leading teams through the discovery of 0 to 1 new products as well as big, complex platform level initiatives.

  • Business acumen and ability to connect design strategy to business value.

  • Ability to communicate complex subjects with clarity and impact to a variety of audiences.

  • Strong leadership, partnering, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to create solutions that scale across short and long term customer and business goals simultaneously.
