What You’ll Be Doing

 

As Director, Identity & Access Privileged Access Services, you will join CIBC’s Identity & Access Management team within Information Security department to continue our journey of building and evolving the enterprise-wide Identity and Access Services, specific to privileged access consisting of roadmaps, business cases, investments, projects, and delivery.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How You’ll Succeed

  • Strategy & Roadmap – Lead strategic thought, insight and vision of Privileged Access Management. Develop and maintain the Privileged Access Management roadmap and services, along with business cases, implementation and ongoing lifecycle of the corresponding services
  • Leadership – Management of Privileged Access Services team of ~9 personnel. Drive continuous improvement across portfolio
  • Relationship Management - Oversee vendor relationship management within Privileged Access Management, and develop new/potential relationships.  Key vendors of focus being CyberArk, Hashi Corp, Microsoft, etc. Establish communication channels, training and provide Privileged Access Management consulting services to business partners & stakeholders
  • Research – Identify Privileged Access Management trends, understanding industry landscape, vendors, industry peer alignment and benchmarking, with a specific focus on IAM privilege such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), secrets management, directory services, provisioning, etc,  Develop and maintain the Identity & Access Privileged Access Services roadmap and services within Information Security
  • Delivery - Execute on business case to mitigate risk and realize business benefit. Provide project and operational peer support to IAM counterparts, & Information Security colleagues. Act as and work across lines of defense to test and remediate Identity & Access Privileged Access Services deficiencies with tactical and strategic solutions
  • Reporting - Align risk to investments across peer IAM organization to prioritize and create corresponding business cases. Report on service delivery and effectiveness

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in leadership positions within Information Security and ideally Privileged Access Management Services. You have significant previous experience and success working across lines of defense to test and remediate Privileged Access Management deficiencies with tactical and strategic solutions. You develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, being able to work across a variety of stakeholders (e.g. Information Security teams, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Architecture, Technology, etc.) to gather input, facilitate discussions, review materials, solve problems and build consensus.
  • You are a security thought leader, with knowledge of common security threats, industry best practices, security technologies and how they relate to organizational security posture.  You understand security policies, standards, risk management and governance practices intended to ensure the protection of bank and client information.  You have a security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM or equivalent work experience)
  • You embrace and advocate for change. You continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.

  • You are a strong communicator, with a drive and ability to deliver security content and messaging to Senior Leadership, building innovative content and communication that demonstrates your command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation.
