The Role:

The Director of Infrastructure leads the strategy, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology infrastructure that supports business operations at scale. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure services across corporate offices, data centers, cloud platforms, networks, end-user computing foundations, and core enterprise systems. The position partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional business teams to align infrastructure investments with operational priorities, growth objectives, and risk management requirements.

Please note this position requires in-office attendance one day per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an enterprise infrastructure strategy aligned with corporate objectives, operational requirements, and long-term business growth.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of corporate infrastructure services, including networks, servers, storage, cloud environments, identity services, and workplace technology platforms.
  • Ensure infrastructure services meet business expectations for availability, performance, security, scalability, and service quality across corporate operations.
  • Establish governance, standards, policies, and operating procedures for infrastructure architecture, service delivery, change management, and operational support.
  • Partner with business leaders, finance, cybersecurity, application teams, procurement, and compliance stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and support enterprise-wide objectives.
  • Oversee disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and operational resilience programs, including testing, documentation, and remediation planning.
  • Manage infrastructure budgets, capital planning, operating expenses, asset lifecycle decisions, and vendor contracts to balance cost, risk, and performance.
  • Lead and develop infrastructure leaders, engineers, administrators, and service providers while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive modernization efforts through automation, standardization, monitoring, and process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Monitor service levels, operational metrics, and infrastructure health, and provide executive reporting on risks, investments, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business enablement, resilience, governance, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure infrastructure practices comply with internal controls, audit expectations, data protection requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, enterprise systems, network operations, cloud operations, or related IT functions, including substantial leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure operations in a mid-size or large corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, compute, storage, cloud and hybrid platforms, identity and access management, endpoint infrastructure, and infrastructure security controls.
  • Experience developing governance models, service standards, operational procedures, and performance metrics for enterprise IT environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, vendors, managed service providers, and cross-functional initiatives in support of business priorities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and people leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

      Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field or MBA.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNP, AWS, Azure, or comparable enterprise infrastructure and governance credentials.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, office expansions, infrastructure consolidations, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in publicly traded, multi-site, or highly regulated corporate environments.
  • Familiarity with IT service management, audit readiness, risk management, and corporate compliance frameworks.
