The Brand
Sundays for Dogs is a venture backed direct-to-consumer brand with the goal to make life easier on the modern dog parent so that they may spend more quality time with their dog.

We enable dog parents to not have to choose between quality and convenience when seeking the world’s best dog food. We are a team dedicated to the mission and consider ourselves skydivers, not plane passengers. We decide fast, fail fast and learn fast.

The Role

We’re looking for a world-class Director of FP&A to own financial planning and analysis across the business. Reporting directly to our CFO, this role will play a key role in shaping our financial strategy and providing the visibility and insights needed to guide decision-making across every function of the business - including supply chain, R&D, marketing, technology and people.

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves opportunity with high visibility. We’re looking for someone who can get into the weeds, build models from scratch, and serve as the go-to “wizard in Excel” for the organization. There are no direct reports to start, so you should be comfortable with working autonomously and rolling up your sleeves.

This role will report to our CFO. This role may be remote, but must be willing to travel to Cleveland on a monthly basis.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Corporate Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Own the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning process.
  • Build and maintain financial models for P&L, cash flow and scenario planning.
  • Partner with the CFO to prepare board, investor, and leadership reporting packages
  • Demand & Supply Planning Support
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain leadership on demand and supply forecasts, capacity planning, and inventory strategy
  • Build models that connect sales forecasts to production, fulfillment, and working capital needs
  • Create tools to align finance, supply chain, and operations in balancing cost, service, and inventory levels
  • COGS & Margin Analysis
  • Develop and maintain detailed COGS models across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and fulfillment
  • Track landed costs and identify opportunities to optimize freight, ingredient, and packaging spend
  • Provide gross margin insights to inform pricing, vendor negotiations, and product innovation

  • Performance Reporting & Analytics
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting processes.
  • Build dashboards to track key financial and operational KPIs
  • Partner with the CMO and growth team to support the analysis of marketing metrics (CAC, LTV, retention).

  • Reporting & Tools
  • Lead monthly reporting and variance analysis for supply chain costs and gross margin
  • Develop dashboards and tools that provide real-time visibility into demand, supply, and cost performance
  • Be the Excel/Sheets power user everyone turns to for financial clarity

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within a CPG, DTC, or supply chain-heavy business
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain finance, demand & supply planning, and COGS analysis
  • Excel/Google Sheets wizard with advanced modeling skills (complex formulas, demand/supply planning models, scenario modeling)
  • Proven ability to thrive in a scrappy, high-growth environment—comfortable operating with limited resources and high ambiguity
  • Strong communicator who can distill complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Collaborative and humble—team over ego
