We are looking for a Director, Finance Solutions to join Element Fleet Management.   As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Director, Finance Solutions you will lead our Finance modernization program to design, build, and maintain our Business Intelligence and optimize system-based solutions.  You will lead a highly skilled and motivated team, and your efforts and expertise will have a direct impact on framing and solving the challenges of a function seeking modernization and the development of a process improvement culture.  In this role, you will act as a change leader, provide thought leadership to Senior Finance leadership, and collaborate with IT, ERP and RPA teams on behalf of Finance. 

A Day in the Life 

Lead the finance modernization program across Finance

  • Execute on the Finance modernization strategy by acting as the Lead on all Finance Solutions initiatives and ensuring alignment to the overall Finance and organizational strategic goals
  • Identification, prioritization and evaluation of initiatives, based upon the latest finance technology practices.
  • Researching and developing a roadmap of future initiatives and programs that will bring leading technology to support and improve Finance capabilities.
  • Manage the implementation, upgrades and maintenance of Business Intelligence / Financial software systems (e.g., OneStream)
  • Work alongside key partners (e.g., IT, Legal, Risk, other Finance functions) to ensure accuracy and security of financial data across platforms

Oversee the lifecycle of Finance initiatives / projects

  • Lead the life cycle of projects from initiation to deployment.
  • Ensures related policies/procedures are current and support new programs or enhancements and are in accordance with organizational policies and requirements.
  • Key initiatives include speed of close, data accessibility and reporting automation, enhancing functionality of OneStream and related systems.
  • Identify and drive automation opportunities to streamline financial workflows and gain efficiencies

Reporting & Tracking

  • Provide regular financial reporting and updates to Senior and Executive Leadership on status of projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure budgets are closely monitored and any potential risks / runoffs are proactively managed and escalated accordingly

Administration of systems and tools

  • Administer key financial systems and tools, including OneStream and Alteryx Server, to ensure adherence to SOX controls, minimize business disruption, and oversee latest patch and upgrade processes
  • Maintain adherence to financial regulations and internal controls

Leadership oversight

  • Develop a high performing, innovative, client-centric and finance-oriented team of 5 individuals. 
  • Develop and lead by example an inclusive culture that demands and rewards high performance, exceptional teamwork across the entire organization, and a consistently deliver on the commitments made.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field of study
  • Minimum of ten years of experience, in a finance, business operations, or audit role at a top-tier management consulting firm, high-growth and/or technology organization
  • Proven experience in Finance systems management or in similar roles
  • Prior experience leading Finance transformation programs or experience of delivering Finance transformation at a consulting firm is a must
  • Expertise in Enterprise Performance Management platforms / systems, SQL, BI tools and financial reporting
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced or high growth environment is a plus
  • CPA qualification with knowledge of IFRS accounting principles is a plus

  • Proficient with other Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Power Point
  • Experience with automation technologies and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Smartsheet workflow, Alteryx, or other BI tools
  • Experience with data analysis tools, SQL; in its absence, eagerness to learn is a must
  • Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA and/or OneStream; in its absence, eagerness to learn is a must 

The hiring base salary range for this position is $133,400 - $183,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
