What you’ll be doing
As the Director, EAML, RCM, Deficiencies and Controls, you will lead a team of AML experts to design and oversee the Regulatory Compliance Management program, ML/TF & Sanctions Deficiency Management program, and will manage the effective documentation and reporting on the control environment globally. You will build standard approaches to the implementation of the RCM program, ensuring compliance with the RCM Policy and effective and sustainable processes. You will be the Control Expert and ensure appropriate documentation and design for EAML owned controls. You will ensure appropriate oversight on Deficiencies and examinations and approve the quality review/validation of Deficiencies being closed. You will generate reporting for the CAMLO and senior leadership and develop insights from the data in your portfolio to improve the programs.

How you’ll succeed
Portfolio management – Own and manage your portfolio from end to end and implement effective, risk based approaches to compliance with Bank policies including, developing and managing an integrated, strategic and effective approach to the AML, ATF and Sanctions RCM program globally that includes oversight of regional activities, alignment of various risk management activities into the RCM program (Annual Risk Assessment, Control Testing etc.) and insightful reporting.
Partnership support – Oversee the accurate and timely response to requests from areas of the Bank (GORM, Risk, Compliance etc.) including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and support the CAMLO and SLT in attestations regarding Key Controls owned by EAML.
Issue management – Manage the oversight of Issues with ML/TF & Sanctions risk; ensuring quality through effective challenge and where required, validation of artifacts. Support the CAMLO in approval of Issue closures/remediation.
People leadership – Be an inspiring and effective people leader, empowering the team and providing strategic direction while actively identifying streamlining opportunities.
Data oversight & reporting optimization – Own the data for ML/TF & Sanctions Issues and the Regulatory and Control Libraries. Optimize reporting of the portfolio activities/components to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
Controls oversight & monitoring – Oversee EAML Controls, ensuring that Controls owned and performed by EAML are accurately documented. Perform effective challenge on identification, documentation and monitoring activities in place for Key Controls for AML/ATF & Sanctions in the RCM Control Library- liaising with advisory and other subject matter experts in EAML.
Compliance driven & strategic mindset – Escalate and provide recommendations regarding compliance to the Bank’s requirements, including its oversight responsibilities. Develop and implement a program for oversight and coordination of internal exams and testing, leveraging information from across EAML and partners to enhance value.
Continuous improvement – Proactively identify and implement improvements such as training, communication or other activities that enhance the AML/ATF & Sanctions program globally.
