CI Investment Services is a leading Canadian Broker Dealer that provides a wide range of innovative brokerage and trading services to a diverse client base that includes portfolio managers, introducing brokers, and institutional investors.

We set ourselves apart in the Canadian clearing broker industry by owning our entire technology stack in-house. Our team is a close-knit, collaborative group with a clear vision and goal. As the Director of Data Integration, you will be part of our book of record technology team, coordinating with business partners to onboard new clients, support existing clients, and integrate third-party systems into our book of record system via API, FIX, and ETL files.

You will lead a team of Developers and Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to develop and refine our integration layer. A deep understanding of the brokerage industry and trading is essential. Key Responsibilities

· Foster strong relationships with Portfolio Managers, Introducing Brokers, and technology partners.

· Define the scope and onboarding strategy for new Portfolio Managers and Introducing Brokers.

· Define the scope and strategy for integrating with internal and external technology platforms.

· Lead the integration team in enhancing REST APIs and ETL extracts.

· Collaborate closely with the team to ensure our platform is properly configured and the onboarding strategy is clearly understood.

· Identify system gaps and manage them through the project intake process.

· Ensure the accuracy of converted client data, including assets under administration.

· Keep business and technical teams updated on conversion progress.

· Monitor and ensure the completion of business tasks, mock conversions, and pre/post-validation according to the execution plan/runbook.

· Support the sales team by meeting with prospects to answer questions and provide information and recommendations as needed.

· Supervise individuals responsible for data mapping and the creation of validation reports.

What You Will Bring

· Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

· Technical Skills:

o Understanding of .NET, C#.

o Proficiency in SQL required.

o Experience developing lightweight flexible API’s

o Experience with advanced Source Control features (branching/merging).

o Familiarity with the FIX protocol and order flow.

o Experience planning and overseeing large integrations and data conversion projects.

Professional Experience:

o Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar role in the brokerage/securities financial industry.

o Experience with clearing book of record systems. (ISM, BPS, Dataphile, RPM R-Broker, Univeris, TorStone, FIS, WinFund, VieFUND, etc.)

o An extensive understanding of the clearing firms, brokerage industry, brokerage operations, CIRO regulations.

Soft Skills:

o Excellent communication skills

o Excellent problem-solving abilities

o Ability to work effectively in a team environment

o High attention to detail and a proactive approach to work

o Able to come into our Toronto location a minimum of 3 days per week
