What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology team, the Director in CIBC’s Data Analytics & AI Insights, will lead the transformation of enterprise data into actionable intelligence and innovative AI-driven solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to architect next-generation AI agents, develop AI workflow automation tools, and unlock revenue-generating insights that drive business growth. You will set the strategic vision for data architecture and analytics, ensuring robust foundations through Medallion architecture and Silver Layer design, while pioneering advanced AI capabilities.

How you'll succeed
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute CIBC’s data and AI strategy, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- AI Innovation: Build and deploy AI agents and workflow automation tools to streamline operations and enhance decision-making.
- Revenue Impact: Leverage advanced analytics and AI models to extract actionable insights that identify new revenue streams and optimize existing ones.
- Data Architecture Excellence: Drive the design and optimization of Medallion data structures, focusing on Silver Layer for analytics-ready data.
Who you are
- You have experience in: 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and solution delivery within large-scale environments. Advanced proficiency in data modeling, structuring, and lifecycle management. Strong technical background in SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud-based platforms (Azure, Databricks). Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks, agent-based systems, and workflow automation tools.
- It's an asset if you have experience working with Capital Markets.
- You have highly developed analytical and conceptual skills. You are adept at developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex problems.
