About the Role

We’re looking for a versatile, driven leader to join our team as Director, Cost & Productivity FP&A. In this role, you are responsible for the planning, forecasting, performance management, and optimization of Element’s US/CA operating and capital expenses across commercial, operational, and corporate functions, with accountability for global consolidation and reporting. You operate credibly with senior and executive stakeholders and bring structure and clarity to complex problems in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. You elevate FP&A’s impact through strong business partnership, executive presence, and an automation-first mindset that leverages data, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve decision quality, increase productivity, and reduce manual effort.

What You'll Do

  • Lead annual budget, in-year reforecasting, and variance analysis across commercial, operational, and corporate functions, including headcount-driven costs
  • Act as the primary finance partner to senior and executive leaders on cost, capital, and workforce decisions
  • Set planning assumptions, cost frameworks, and forecasting standards, challenging inputs and supporting trade-off decisions
  • Develop and standardize productivity and efficiency metrics to enable meaningful comparison across regions and functions globally
  • Integrate productivity insights into OPEX, CAPEX, and headcount scenarios to strengthen decision-making and reduce execution risk
  • Build and develop a high-performing FP&A team with strong analytical depth and executive presence
  • Drive automation of planning, forecasting, and reporting processes using BI and AI-enabled tools
  • Consolidate global OPEX and CAPEX results and forecasts, ensuring regional consistency and transparency
  • Partner on workforce planning and capacity management, aligning hiring and capacity assumptions with productivity and financial targets

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive FP&A or finance experience within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, or performance management processes
  • Experience supporting commercial, operational, and corporate functions in fast-paced or high-growth environments
  • Strong analytical rigor, stakeholder management skills, and financial judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA qualification with knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
  • Experience developing productivity, efficiency, or cost optimization frameworks
  • Experience with enterprise finance and analytics platforms such as OneStream, SAP S/4HANA, PowerBI, SQL, or similar tools
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage automation, analytics, or AI-enabled tools to improve insight quality and productivity
