We turn millions of unstructured documents into high value intelligence feeds and datasets that are available on an intuitive user experience. Who Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Business Development to accelerate revenue growth and strengthen our go-to-market engine.

This role will lead outbound prospecting strategy, coach and develop our BDR (Business Development Representative) team, and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to achieve our pipeline generation growth goals.

As Director of Business Development, you’ll take full ownership of our front-end sales process, from initial outreach to qualified pipeline generation. You’ll work directly with leadership to refine messaging, align BDR/AE motions, and develop a repeatable, data-driven playbook for sustainable lead generation growth.

You combine analytical rigor with hands-on sales leadership to improve process efficiency, conversion rates, and overall lead generation performance. If you’re passionate about helping teams grow, driving measurable impact, and scaling a high-performance outbound engine, we’d love to meet you.

The position will be out of our Toronto Headquarters.

What Will You Accomplish? / How You Will Make An Immediate Impact:

  • Lead & Inspire the BDR Team: Mentor, coach, and support Business Development Representatives to achieve and exceed their quotas while advancing in their careers.
  • Drive Pipeline Growth: Ensure delivery of pipeline generation targets through effective outbound strategies aligned with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), customer segments, and market priorities.
  • Build a Winning Culture: Foster a culture of results, teamwork, resilience, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit & Develop Talent: Identify, hire, and onboard top BDR talent to strengthen team capability and capacity.
  • Refine Outreach & Messaging: Design, test, and scale outreach sequences, messaging frameworks, and qualification methodologies (e.g., BANT, MEDDIC).
  • Strengthen Enablement: Refine existing training programs and design new onboarding and enablement initiatives to accelerate ramp-up and standardize best practices.
  • Improve Process Efficiency: Continuously analyze performance data to identify opportunities to improve conversion, lead quality, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Align Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to align outbound efforts with campaigns, account strategies, and broader GTM priorities.
  • Own Pipeline Reporting: Take full ownership of pipeline reporting and forecasting accuracy, ensuring CRM data is complete, current, and actionable.
  • Scale Strategy: Build a repeatable, data-driven outbound playbook to continuously elevate results and enable sustainable growth.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience leading sales or business development teams, ideally within B2B SaaS or a high-growth technology environment.
  • Proven leadership track record in building positive, high-performing team cultures and developing others to achieve career growth.
  • Expert coaching & management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
  • Experience with modern sales development practices, including multi-channel outreach and hyper-personalized outreach. Practical experience with qualification metrologies such as BANT & MEDDIC are highly desirable
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps.
  • Growth mindset: adaptable to change, eager to test new ideas, and continuously seeking improvement.
  • Familiarity with inside sales tools and marketing automation (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, ZoomInfo, etc.) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills: able to manage multiple priorities, analyze trends, and take data-informed actions.
  • Persistence and resilience: ability to maintain momentum, overcome challenges, and model grit for the team.
  • Mentorship focus: proven ability to coach and elevate BDR skill sets.
  • Problem-solving mindset: able to identify root causes, remove obstacles, and drive execution toward measurable results.
