The Director Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery will lead and enhance CI’s Business Continuity Program (BCP) to ensure business resilience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement and manage the company’s strategic approach to Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) and its continuous improvement. 
  • Emphasize the importance of identifying Disaster Recovery considerations during the project management process and ensure they are met as part of the project deliverable.
  • Develop and manage a testing process to minimize CI's risk, ensuring interdependence is identified and communicated.
  • Support CI’s Third-Party Risk Management program to ensure business continuity requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with business teams to perform annual Business Impact Analysis and update their respective business continuity plans.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure that Disaster Recovery strategies are designed to meet the Recovery Time and Point Objectives identified in the firm’s business continuity plans.
  • Support the Crisis Management team with the activation of BC/DR plans..
  • Facilitate business and IT expectation to ensure the availability of critical operations to an acceptable, predefined level following a disruptive incident.  Act as an escalation point and work to manage any shortfalls.
  • Manage the communication process with auditors, regulators and clients to effectively inform and summarize the company’s BC/DR plans
  • Promote employee awareness of CI’s Business Continuity Program.
  • Strategically align the Business Continuity Program with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Business Continuity team.

QUALFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience related to Business Continuity Management
  • Experienced in a financial services and/or regulated environment highly preferred

Education/Training

  • Degree, ideally in Technology, Operations or Business Administration
  • CBCP certification is preferred
