We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Director, Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics team. In this strategic leadership role, you will lead and develop the Analytics COE, driving cross-functional analytics initiatives that align with our business goals. Your team will leverage analytics as a critical enabler to enhance the guest experience, empower employees, and drive recognition across all levels of the organization. Through impactful data insights, you will help improve decision-making, strengthen relationships with our guests, and elevate our workplace culture.

This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Vice President, Data and Analytics. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead & Develop the Analytics COE:

Provide strategic leadership to a team of analytics managers and analysts, fostering a high-performance, innovative, and collaborative culture.
Drive Cross-Functional Analytics Initiatives:

Engage with Finance, Operations, Commercial, Guest, Brand, and other functions to capture, prioritize, and execute analytics initiatives aligned with business goals.
Enhance Decision-Making with Actionable Insights:

Deliver impactful analytics products that inform strategic and operational decisions at all levels of the organization.
Set Analytics Standards & Governance:
-
Maintain and enforce best practices for data governance, self-serve analytics, and reporting consistency across teams.
Partner with Data Science & Engineering:
-
Collaborate with the Data Science team to translate complex analytical models into actionable insights and work with Data Engineering to optimize data pipelines and access.
Oversee Analytics Tools & Enablement:

Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of BI and analytics tools to empower business users with self-serve insights.
Define & Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Develop and implement metrics to measure the impact of analytics initiatives and report findings to executive leadership.
Promote Data-Driven Culture:

Advocate for analytics literacy across the organization, driving adoption of data-driven decision-making and best practices.
Operationalize the Enterprise Value Map:

Partner with Corporate FP&A to define and execute the roadmap for Management Reporting, ensuring alignment with enterprise financial and strategic objectives.
Establish Analytics Frameworks & Standards:

Work with data domain stewards to set consistent analytics methodologies, governance, and best practices.

Advanced experience with analytics & data platforms: Experience with Azure ML, Databricks, Synapse, and local data science frameworks.

Business Intelligence & Data Visualization: Expertise in Power BI and designing intuitive, executive-friendly dashboards.

ERP & EPM Knowledge (Asset): Familiarity with Microsoft D365 and OneStream is beneficial, particularly for financial and performance management reporting.

Agile & Hypothesis-Driven Approach: Proficiency in Agile methodologies to iterate and test analytics solutions.

Data Governance & Compliance: Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices for ensuring compliance.

Financial & Business Acumen: Ability to manage budgets for analytics initiatives and conduct ROI analysis.

Project Management & Resource Allocation: Strong experience in planning, executing, and optimizing analytics projects.

Industry Expertise: Understanding of the travel & hospitality sector, allowing for industry-specific analytics applications.
What You Bring
-
8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy, with a proven track record of leading analytics teams and initiatives.

3+ years in a leadership role, managing teams and driving enterprise-wide analytics strategies.

Experience working in enterprise environments with complex data ecosystems, preferably in hospitality, finance, or consumer-driven industries.

Strong background in partnering with Finance teams on management reporting and value-based analytics.

Prior experience in governing analytics in federated data environments, collaborating with distributed analytics teams in various departments.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred, particularly if combined with strong technical expertise.
This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
