About WOIO/WUAB:

WOIO-19 and WUAB-43 are the CBS and MYTV Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as WTCL, the only Telemundo station in the Cleveland DMA. We produce 70.5 hours of live, local news, weather, and sports every week and deliver content on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms on WOIO and WUAB, and 10+ hours of news on WTCL/WOHZ.

Job Summary/Description:

WOIO-WUAB TV (Gray Media Cleveland) is looking for an experienced journalist to join our Digital Content Producer/Assignment Desk Team.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time digital content producer/assignment editor. The candidate will be required to write and post news stories to various platforms, including social media. The applicant must also communicate with various state and local agencies, speak with viewers, assign crews to breaking news stories, and coordinate live coverage.

Please note - primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Applicant must have two (2) years of experience in a journalism-related field.
- A journalism degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of AP style is a must.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
