Oh, hello there, internet overlord.

Funday is a full-service & fully-remote agency made up of people who are friendly and hardworking in equal measure. Inspired by an unrelenting belief that having fun is integral to creativity, we like to say we’re all about fun and brains. You know, that sweet spot between where pretty and performance meet and where insight and imagination produce the entirely unexpected? That’s where we thrive.

Digital Content Creator

We’re looking for a digital content creator who lives online. Someone who sees a trending sound before it peaks, knows when to meme and when to move on, and can take a brand and make it feel like a person you’d want in the group chat.

You’ll help us build a consistent stream of reactive and culture-driving content for our clients across Instagram, TikTok, and wherever else the internet decides to go next.

This role is about speed, voice, and intuition. You know how to jump on a moment or spark one, and how to create lo-fi content that still looks good.

Location: You’ll work remotely from BC, AB or ON.

What you’ll do

  • Create and post reactive content that feels native to each social  platform; Tiktok, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, X (memes, stitch or reply content, trend-jacking, and more)
  • Concept and create culture-building content, from lo-fi daily posts to social-first series and formats
  • Contribute to bigger-picture campaign thinking with ideas that connect across platforms and moments
  • Help develop social programs that strengthen brand identity and grow community over time
  • Stay up to date on trends, niche communities, and platform shifts, and pitch content ideas regularly
  • Collaborate with strategy and brand teams to shape a distinct and consistent voice for each client’s unique brand
  • Turn ideas into edits quickly using CapCut, Canva and/or Adobe

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 3-5 years experience as a digital content creator
  • Must have experience creating content for brands in addition to building your own audience
  • Work samples or social presence that demonstrates your taste, timing, and ability to speak with various tones of voice
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep, daily awareness of internet culture, memes, and platform language
  • A sharp point of view, strong writing instincts, and a good visual eye
  • Experience using content tools such as: CapCut, Canva and/or Adobe Suite
  • Ability to self-start and keep pace in a fast-moving, collaborative environment

You’ll want to read this part

  • Don’t forget to include your portfolio, work samples, or link to your social channel(s) - if there are no work samples included, we won’t consider your application. Sounds harsh, but we get LOTS of applications.
  • If you live in Canada, are able to work here and you are in one of these provinces: BC, AB, ON - please apply! Otherwise, we’re sorry, we won’t be able to employ you.
  • One role, multiple postings - we post the same role in multiple locations to help us cast a wide net. Applying to each location for a posting will not increase your chances. Now that we've saved you some time, go do something fun!
  • This posting is for an existing vacancy we are looking to fill immediately and not a prospective future role (i.e. we’re saying this isn’t a ghost job).

Come be a Funatic

We believe you won’t perform at your best if you’re not having fun. And you can’t have fun if you’re not performing. We believe that this creates the best client + agency relationships, and is the best way to make great work.

We believe in respect, inclusivity, kindness, equity, and equality. We want to make a positive impact. We believe that collaboration is the fun part of being at work. We strive to create a culture in which “we” is more important than “me”.

Apart from loving terrible fun puns, we’re a start-up, and we're growing fast – which means you’ll have a chance to make your mark and grow with us. We’re also almost 100% remote, and that might not appeal to everyone – but if you value flexibility, it’s perfect.

Join us.
