Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team onsite in Toronto. As a DevOps Engineer / SRE, you will be responsible for the availability, performance, security, and scalability of our infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle, automate processes, and maintain systems to ensure they are reliable and scalable. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, helping to drive our DevOps culture and build out SRE practices within the organization.


Work-Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
System Reliability: Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure and services, leveraging SRE practices to achieve reliability targets (SLAs, SLOs, SLIs).
CI/CD Pipelines: Build, manage, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code deployment and testing, ensuring rapid and safe release cycles.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and maintain scalable infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or CloudFormation.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Develop and enhance monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and lead incident response for production outages, working on root cause analysis and prevention.
Automation: Develop and implement scripts and tooling to automate repetitive operational tasks.
Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to ensure that DevOps practices adhere to security and compliance standards (e.g., vulnerability scanning, secure configurations).
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to foster a DevOps culture and contribute to a robust engineering process.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud environments.
Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in systems and applications, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes, including managing clusters in production environments.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in implementing IaC best practices to automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure.
Automation Tools: Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef or CloudFormation.
Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automating tasks and building tooling.
Version Control: Expertise in Git for version control and code collaboration.
CI/CD: Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
Agile & DevOps Practices: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud Certification: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or similar certifications.
Database Management: Experience with database operations (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and data backup/recovery strategies.
Security Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, including vulnerability management, firewall management, and encryption.
Networking: Familiarity with networking concepts such as VPC, VPN, and load balancing.
Experience with Microservices: Understanding of microservices architecture and deploying microservices at scale.
Disaster Recovery: Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
