The Designer will be responsible for developing creative designs for media pitches, client work and, and internal communications. Collaborating closely with the senior leadership team on high-profile accounts, this role demands the ability to work efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision, while fully grasping the objectives of each project. The ideal candidate will transform these objectives into visually striking, innovative designs across various formats. You will create visually compelling designs that meet brand standards in a high paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-impact presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

    Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including:

    • Designing visually compelling slides using themes, templates, and Slide Master.

    • Creating charts, graphs, and infographics for clear data visualization.

    • Incorporating animations, transitions, and multimedia elements to enhance engagement.

    • Ensure brand consistency and accessibility across all presentation materials.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic concepts into polished, professional decks for internal and external use.

  • Create compelling high quality new business pitch material and client work

  • Collaborate with media team member to develop and refine presentations and content

  • Translate client objectives into visually compelling designs that meet brand standards and project requirements.

  • Ensure all client-facing materials are error-free and relevant.

  • Ensure adherence to brand standards in all design work

  • Make revisions and updates to files as directed

  • Manage and organize files and assets efficiently

Skills & Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma in Design and/or Graphic Production

  • 2 years of experience working in an advertising agency

  • Proficient in PowerPoint is essential for the role

  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design principles, including layout, publication design, typography, color theory, and post-production processes

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment managing a high volume of simultaneous requests with quick turnarounds

  • Strong competitive drive and passion for design and layout

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills

  • Awareness of emerging design trends and industry developments

The salary range for this position is $60k-$65k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
