Our challenge

We are looking for a passionate Design Strategist to join our team with extensive experience in UX design and UX research methods, Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $130k – CAD $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of innovative, high-quality, and user-centered digital experiences for clients.
  • Mentor and manage a team of UI/UX designers and be responsible for their professional development.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, user needs, and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain design standards, best practices, and design systems.
  • Ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality.

Requirements:

  • At least 12+ years of experience in UX design, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-centered digital experiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading projects from concept to launch.
  • Experience in the financial services, insurance, or technology industries is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles and UX design patterns.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and project management.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
