Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1400 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

We are looking for a positive and team-oriented individual to join our dynamic Supply Chain Transformation Team in Vaughan. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, managing and improving demand forecasts to support supply chain efficiency, inventory management and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to ensure alignment between forecasts and business strategy.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

  • Analyzing demand forecasts to identify sales trends across all business segments and to proactively represent any statistical forecasting exception

  • Creating and maintaining forecast models, assist in incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources into that demand plan utilizing analytics and interpersonal skills

  • Proactively developing, analyzing, and recommending finished goods demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation

  • Identifying areas of forecast risk and improvement opportunities for their assigned demand planning categories

  • Reviewing historical sale trends, research demand drivers, preparing forecast data, select statistical forecast models, evaluate forecast results

  • Developing an easy way to quickly compile and analyze month over month and year over year trends on product groups as required

  • Creating reporting and automated system alerts to proactively identify forecast exceptions

  • Review data errors, outlier corrections, stat output errors, etc. in Kinaxis on a weekly basis

  • Assisting in the creation of best-in-class processes to improve forecast accuracy and bias

  • Engaging and collaborating with Sales teams to ensure better inventory planning, demand signal exception analysis (spikes/ drops), new business materialization and service level analysis

Qualifications:  

  • Possess a strong understanding of statistical forecasting and inventory optimization techniques. Supply Chain experience is an asset

  • You’ve completed a College/University education (or certification) in Demand Planning or Supply Chain Management, MBA is an asset

  • Understanding the functionalities of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), proficiency in demand planning software's, and exposure in /leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) preferred

  • Experience in Kinaxis and SAP is an added asset.

  • Certification in APCIS CPIM, CSCP or IBF CPF is a plus

  • You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internal and external customers to drive value-added solutions

  • You possess strong analytical skills and proven ability to analyze data trends with the use of tools (ex. Tableau, Excel) and initiate action from findings.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and be able to prioritize effectively

  • Ability to contribute to development of policies and procedures as and when required

  • May be required to assist in onboarding new employees and systems
