As a Deal Desk Specialist on the Revenue Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the overall business by overseeing deal cycles and offering guidance on contractual and commercial matters to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with business standards. You will support scenario modeling and contract execution activities, and handle day-to-day pricing and business requests from the sales organization.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills, eager to gain a deep understanding of the business and contribute to high-visibility accounts and deals.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Structuring and Pricing Support
- Assist sales teams in structuring deals, ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability goals
- Provide guidance on pricing strategies, discounting, and contract terms
- Review and approve commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with internal policies and controls
- Review and approve non-standard deal terms and pricing exceptions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations to streamline deal processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls
- Facilitate communication between departments to expedite deal approvals.
- Process Improvement and Documentation
- Develop and maintain documentation for deal processes and policies
- Implement system enhancements (e.g., CPQ, Salesforce) to enhance efficiency
- Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to optimize deal closing activities
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze deal metrics to assess performance and identify trends
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as deal velocity and win rates
- Training and Support
- Educate sales teams on deal desk processes and best practices
- Offer support during deal negotiations and approvals, particularly during end of quarter
- Act as a resource for questions related to deal structuring and compliance
These responsibilities ensure that the Deal Desk function effectively supports the sales organization, enhances operational efficiency, and contributes to the company's revenue growth.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or related function, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven ability to analyze complex commercial terms and structure deals that balance customer needs with internal policies and business goals
- Strong understanding of contract management, pricing models, and revenue recognition principles
- Familiarity with CRM and CPQ systems, especially Salesforce and Linksquares
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- High level of business acumen, with the ability to support strategic deal-making and assess risk
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, and Sales leadership
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
