What the role looks like:

In this role, your main responsibility will be to review and analyze, categorize and format news content from around the web, using online tools to consolidate information. You will also work with members of the Lumerate team to ensure data meets internal quality and accuracy standards.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Checking tracked web pages for news content
  • Identifying organizations of interest in tracked news content
  • Entering relevant information from tracked content into a Google Sheet
  • Ensuring accuracy of transcription of content and attribution to organizations

Who will be successful in this role?‍

  • You have a background (either academic or professional) in a life sciences or related field
  • You enjoy hunting for information on the web
  • You’re detail-oriented, so you’ll notice that we’d like you to mention what shape can be found at the coordinates 1.347000, 17.154400
  • You have an interest in data both qualitative and quantitative
  • You’re highly organized and comfortable working independently
  • You're very comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets
  • You consider yourself to be tech-savvy, and you’re excited by the idea of working for a software company
  • Your enthusiasm and curiosity are contagious!

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • A  Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada, including specific province legislation and regulations

Location: The successful candidate will work remotely 100% of the time 

Salary: $21.00 CAD per hour

Working Hours: Flexible, up to 15 hours per week

Start Date: December 1st, 2025

End Date: May 1st, 2026
