Role Overview

The Data Analyst, Ecommerce & Growth is an entry-level, full-time opportunity designed for a recent graduate eager to launch their career in analytics. This role will sit within the Ecommerce team and partner closely with Growth, CRM, Media, and Finance to drive data-informed decision making across our direct-to-consumer and marketplace channels.
You will help build the foundation for best-in-class ecommerce and subscription analytics, supporting initiatives across customer acquisition, retention, lifetime value, forecasting, and marketing performance. This is a hands-on role where you will work with real datasets, real revenue impact, and real cross-functional stakeholders from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ecommerce and subscription analytics with a focus on retention, churn, cohort analysis, and customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Analyze customer behavior from acquisition through repeat purchase and reactivation to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to track performance across Shopify, subscription, and marketing channels.
- Partner with Growth and Media teams to evaluate acquisition efficiency, campaign performance, and long-term ROI.
- Assist in revenue forecasting and financial modeling in partnership with Finance.
- Develop and refine predictive models to support use cases such as LTV estimation, churn prediction, and promotion performance.
- Query and analyze data using SQL and contribute to data modeling within our data warehouse environment (e.g., Snowflake).
- Create clear visualizations and summaries that translate complex analyses into actionable business insights.
- Support experimentation and testing initiatives by measuring results and identifying learnings.
- Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of analytics processes and data quality.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate (or graduating soon) with a degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience using Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Solid understanding of statistics, cohort analysis, and basic machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with ecommerce or digital marketing metrics (conversion rate, CAC, ROAS, LTV) through coursework, internships, or projects.
- Experience building dashboards in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar is an asset.
- Exposure to forecasting, financial modeling, or marketing analytics is an asset.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a passion for solving real-world business problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

At Open Farm, we believe in the power of collaboration, meaningful connections, and enjoying our work together—furry friends included! That’s why we’ve adopted a structured hybrid approach that allows you the benefit of a reduced commute while still building strong workplace relationships. Currently, all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum, with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor days. In addition to this, each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team. During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.
