This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

Provide a broad range of data engineering functions including data modeling, data quality, data profiling, data acquisition and ingestion, extract transform load (ETL), metadata enrichment and management, data provenance and lineage, and other specialized data management functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Monitoring and supporting production data pipelines, workflows, and platform operations.

  • Troubleshooting Databricks jobs, notebooks, clusters, and data processing issues.

  • Performing data quality investigations, reconciliations, and root cause analysis.

  • Managing production incidents, defects, and operational issues through resolution.

  • Supporting production deployments, PAT validation, release activities, and post-deployment validation.

  • Partnering with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Production Support teams to ensure platform stability and service reliability.

  • Developing operational runbooks, monitoring processes, and support documentation.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, resiliency, and supportability.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Degree, Postgraduate Degree, or Technical Certificate in Data Management or related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience

  • Databricks / Spark

  • Azure Data Platform (ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL)

  • Python / Pyspark

  • CI/CD and DevOps practices

  • Dynatrace

  • Stakeholder communication
