You are:
A deeply technical AI & Data Engineer with full stack skills, comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving product environments. You have experience with conversational AI and customer implementations and are familiar with or open to developing C++ expertise.

This role will require 3 days per week at the local Mississauga office or a client site located in the Greater Toronto Area. Preferred hiring locations for this role is Mississauga.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Design end‑to‑end conversational architectures integrating Google LLMs with client backend systems such as CRMs, ERPs, and APIs.
- Hands‑On Development: Build production‑ready components including custom webhooks, middleware, and integration layers using Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Implementation: Lead deployment of Dialogflow CX agents, focusing on complex state management, NLU tuning, and transition logic.
- Generative AI Integration: Implement grounding strategies such as RAG, orchestrate LLM workflows, and handle unstructured queries within the Customer Engagement Suite.
- API Design: Build and maintain RESTful APIs, manage async data flows, and ensure reliability and scalability of integrations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
- 3+ years of strong demonstrated experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, IAM
- 2+ years of hands-on experience coding in Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java / J2EE, HTML, CSS
- 2+ years of AI/ML experience with a solid understanding of Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and experience with Vertex AI or similar orchestration frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dialogflow CX, Agent Studio, or other conversational AI platforms; understanding of state management, NLU tuning, and transition logic.
- Strong front‑end skills in React (or similar) and UX patterns for admin/ops tooling and AI evaluation dashboards.
- Proficiency in C++ or C# (or willingness to build expertise) for components that benefit from lower‑level performance or SDK interoperability.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks (catalogs, lineage, data contracts), security controls (KMS, CMEK), and privacy patterns (tokenization, minimization).
- Experience with Kubernetes/GKE and container orchestration; knowledge of service meshes, API gateways, and rate/quotas management.
- Background in MLOps/DataOps: feature stores, model/embedding registries, A/B or offline/online evaluation, and drift monitoring.
- Prior consulting or customer‑facing engineering experience in enterprise environments.
Required Certifications
- Google Cloud Digital Leader – foundational cloud knowledge needed for operating within GCP.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) – validates hands‑on ability with GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM, VPC, and integrations.
Preferred Certifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) – demonstrates deeper architectural competence across distributed systems, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer (PDE) – ideal for data‑heavy AI workflows, NLU, and pipeline integrations.
- Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer – aligns strongly with LLM orchestration, Vertex AI, NLU systems, and grounding/RAG patterns.
- Dialogflow CX Certification (or equivalent conversational AI credential) – desirable for building and tuning advanced conversational agents.
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) – helpful for engineers working with microservices, container orchestration, and scalable deployment models.
- Agile/Scrum Certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent) – beneficial given the collaborative, iterative nature of AI feature delivery.
