Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Data Content Researcher to join the Credit Operations Team, located in Toronto or Chicago. The Data Content Researcher is part of the team responsible for launching a Tableau Center of Excellence - driving best practices and efficiencies with creating dashboards in Tableau. In this role, you will be asked to gather and interpret data requirements, perform analysis, and load data into Tableau from a variety of sources. The Data Content Researcher will partner with our product and technology teams to assist in the development and testing of new requirements, bug fixes, and enhancements to further advance the data and insights within Tableau. In addition, this role will work closely with members of the Credit Business Intelligence team at Morningstar to collaborate on company-wide standards as it relates to BI tools. This position will report into the Senior Manager, Credit Data Management and Business Operations, located in Charlotte.
Job Responsibilities

  • Hands-on data analysis will be an integral part of the responsibilities
  • Developing insights on large scale data, performing ad-hoc data cleaning and statistical analysis as needed
  • Communicating results to rating analysts, senior management, and other key stakeholders
  • Developing and automating reports for analytical team members


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with Tableau
  • Proficient in SQL and database management
  • Strong understanding of Tableau and dashboard design
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency in Excel as well as the intellectual curiosity to develop new applications, reports or features
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with an analytical mind and an attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, or related field


Nice to have

  • 1-3 Years experience in structured finance or fundamental ratings related field
