About the Role & Team
The Product Data Insights & Analytics team , our mission is to develop high-quality and sustainable data-driven solutions to improve profitability, growth and the user experience of our digital products. As a Data Analyst, you’ll work with all the key product stakeholder groups to help them leverage data to track product feature performance, make better decisions and ultimately reach their goals. The ideal candidate has strong communications skills, a passion for data, a background in quantitative analysis and an interest in working with digital products. 

About the Work 

As a key member of our product analytics team you will: 

  • Work with complex data sets to answer questions and uncover new insights on product features
  • Create and build custom reports and complete analyses and present clear recommendations to business stakeholders.  
  • Develop a deep understanding of how users interact with ESPN Bet / Hollywood Casino / theScore Bet / theScore apps and websites.
  • Support Intermediate & Senior Data Analysts on project needs, data issues relating to both analysis and modeling.
  • Help with implementation & adoption of a data exploration tool across the organization.
  • Liaise with data engineers to build data pipelines and solve related issues.
  • Stay on top of emerging trends in media, sports betting, analytics & marketing industries 

About You 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
  • Strong Knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Ability to write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries under minimal directions.
  • Experience with data exploration tools such as: Looker, Mode, Amplitude
  • A passion and curiosity for solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
  • Ability to take complex data and present it in a clear manner to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to focus in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Eager to learn from others and help others grow with you.
