Job Description

OVERVIEW 

Working within Rights & Revenue Protection (RRP), the Forensic Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing prediction market, blockchain and sports-related datasets to support intellectual property protection, revenue recovery and commercial intelligence activities. 

 

The role will focus on identifying trends, anomalies and relationships across prediction market ecosystems, helping Sportradar understand market activity, data usage, participant behaviour and emerging risks. Combining advanced analytical techniques with investigative thinking, the analyst will produce actionable intelligence and support strategic investigations involving prediction markets, cryptocurrency-enabled platforms and sports betting operators. 

 

THE CHALLENGE 

  • Analyse large and complex datasets relating to prediction market activity, blockchain transactions and sports-related markets.  

  • Develop monitoring frameworks to identify emerging trends, unusual activity and potential risks across prediction market ecosystems.  

  • Conduct quantitative analysis of platform activity, liquidity flows and market participation.  

  • Support wallet attribution and transaction tracing investigations through data analysis and blockchain intelligence.  

  • Identify relationships between wallets, users, market makers, liquidity providers and other entities of interest.  

  • Produce analytical reports, visualisations and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.  

  • Develop automated processes to improve intelligence collection, monitoring and reporting capabilities.  

  • Partner with Intelligence Analysts to support investigations involving prediction markets, cryptocurrency activity and sports betting operators.  

  • Work with Data Science and Engineering teams to develop scalable analytical solutions.  

  • Evaluate data usage patterns and commercial activity relevant to Sportradar's products, services and intellectual property.  

  • Conduct network and behavioural analysis to identify clusters, patterns and anomalies.  

  • Contribute to the development of new methodologies, tooling and analytical capabilities 

 

YOUR PROFILE 

  • 2+ years' experience in data analytics, market surveillance, data science, financial crime analytics, trading analytics or a related field. 

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets. 

  • Experience using Python, R or equivalent analytical tools for data investigation and analysis. 

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data visualisation techniques. 

  • Familiarity with prediction markets, market makers, liquidity providers and trading ecosystems. 

  • Experience building dashboards and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker. 

  • Experience extracting, transforming and analysing data using APIs from prediction market platforms, blockchain networks and other structured data sources. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Exceptional report-writing and presentation skills. 

  • Motivated self-starter with an investigative mindset. 

Advantageous 

  • Experience analysing blockchain or cryptocurrency data. 

  • Familiarity with Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, Dune Analytics, Nansen, Arkham or similar platforms. 

  • Understanding of sportsbook trading, betting markets or exchange-based wagering. 

  • Experience with graph analytics and network analysis tools. 

  • Knowledge of intellectual property enforcement, anti-piracy or revenue protection. 

  • Experience using i2 Analyst's Notebook, Maltego or similar software. 

  • Understanding of machine learning, anomaly detection or behavioural modelling. 

  • Additional language skills.
