Work Location: Remote, Canada (EST Hours)
Pay Range: $160K/Yr - $190K/Yr CAD Base + Annual Bonus
The person in this role will work directly with the client and play a critical role in shaping how credit decisions, portfolio performance, and risk-adjusted revenue decisions are made. You’ll work on the full credit lifecycle from strategy and pricing to portfolio health and performance, ensuring the risk approach supports sustainable growth and strong financial outcomes. Your work will directly influence profitability, capital efficiency, and long-term scalability.

Credit Strategy & Portfolio Ownership – Driving portfolio performance, risk appetite, and policy direction
Pricing Strategy & Optimization – Balancing competitiveness and profitability across segments
Cross-Functional Leadership – Aligning credit strategy with Finance, Product, Sales, and Underwriting
Decision Accountability & Performance Oversight – Ensuring analytics and data teams deliver business impact

Executive Influence & Cross-Functional Alignment - Partner across Finance, Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure consistent execution of credit strategy and influence business outcomes

10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk with direct ownership of portfolio performance
3+ years in a director-level or higher leadership role managing teams
Strong experience in small business lending, alternative finance, Merchant Cash Advances or non-prime environments preferred
Proven track record of making credit and pricing decisions with measurable business impact
Experience operating at an executive level with strong cross-functional influence
What You’ve Done Before:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
Tools and Expertise You’ll Bring:
Deep expertise in portfolio management, pricing strategy, and unit economics
Strong understanding of underwriting processes, credit policy design, and segmentation strategies
Ability to interpret and challenge analytics outputs without direct model development ownership
Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL and BI tools for data interpretation
Familiarity with credit decisioning systems, data vendors, and fraud tools
Experience leveraging data to inform strategy, stress testing, and scenario planning
