As a Credit Risk Associate in Risk and compliance team, you will help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. You will be conducting Credit Analysis of GHHN (Public finance) clients in the Middle Markets team in Commercial Banking division. We are located in Bangalore and work with North America based Clients and Underwriters. Job responsibilities
- Independently prepare credit analysis on assigned clients - covering macro-overview, industry/sector, business, financials - and recommend changes to credit ratings and amendments to facilities
- Complete annual reviews for assigned portfolio and work on prospect coverage, new client onboarding, new product onboarding, renewals and modifications of existing facilities
- Assist in negotiating and finalizing documentation (credit agreements and amendments)
- Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with colleagues from various Lines of Business including Underwriters, Bankers, Middle Office, etc.
- Support due diligence on capital market transactions for clients
- Develop strong working knowledge and track clients/sectors related to GHHN industries on an on-going basis
- Ensure governance, reporting and data quality requirements are met and maintained for client and client families
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Graduate degree
- 3-5 years' experience in credit risk analysis - GHHN or public finance experience
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills; ability to effectively present analysis and build positive relationships with global stakeholders
- In-depth understanding of GHHN financial statements, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and accounting standards
- Excellent academic record, a strong grasp of public finance concepts and applications, close attention to detail, and accuracy
- Aptitude to learn and develop knowledge on credit analysis techniques, sectors and global economies
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
