We’re looking for a Creative Resource Manager that will play a critical role on our creative operations and creative teams in helping meet business expectations for delivery of creative work. In this role you’ll be supporting both the creative and business needs without bias, and with an attitude of “no job is too big or too small.”  

As such, your 3 primary responsibilities include:

  • Understand the talent needs of the group and be able to enhance our talent base
  • Help foster an environment where creativity can happen
  • Support the creative process 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with Marketing Program Managers to align on business roadmaps and resource planning.
  • Monitor and optimize the workload of creative teams across various projects, looking out for effective utilization.
  • Manage the Creative Resource workload in the Project Management tool and analyze utilization data for capacity insights.
  • Form close relationships with the talent, and document skills, interests, areas of growth, to allow for allocations based on fit as much as possible
  • Administer the PTO calendar, facilitate team requests, and ensure coverage plans.
  • Conduct weekly resource meetings with Creative Leadership and Marketing Program Management teams.
  • Resolve resource booking conflicts and communicate priority shifts between Creatives, Leads, and Program Managers.
  • Stay informed on current and upcoming projects and business development activities related to resourcing, plan proactively
  • Provide project, talent and process-related insights to the Director of Creative Operations and Executive Creative Director, for optimal improvements
  • Identify, onboard, and manage creative freelancers/contractors, and maintain budget accuracy with the Finance team. 
  • Work with the Director of Creative Operations, Business Affairs and the Finance team on maintaining the financial budget (past costs, future projections) always up to date
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of contractor lists with Marketing and Creative leads.
  • Manage and provide improvement recommendations for resource management tools and process: Airtable, Google Suite, Slack, meeting cadence, etc.

Experience: 

  • 3-4 years of experience in Creative Resourcing at an agency or brand creative in-house team
  • Understanding of the various functions and skill sets of the creative team, in order to be able to recommend resourcing for various types of incoming projects
  • Understanding of creative project workflow and how resourcing is impacted when project timelines shift 
  • Experience in working with Project Management tools and functions
  • Ability to be calm under pressure, multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with project management tooling such as Asana, Wrike, Airtable, etc.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $84,000 - CAD $105,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
