Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of cost accounting functions, including job costing, profitability and variance analysis (Cost/Price/Margin), inventory valuation, reconciling, and auditing.
  • Develop and maintain profitability analyses by revenue type, operational division, and other metrics, while setting and benchmarking operational efficiency targets.
  • Coordinate and execute month-end procedures, including accruals for revenues and costs.
  • Prepare detailed cash, cost, and revenue forecasts and provide comprehensive reporting to management.
  • Conduct monthly job analyses of expenses and revenue, and review findings with management.
  • Create and review variance reports daily, ensuring effective management of financial impacts and alignment with departmental decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze credit card expenses, scrutinize specific expense invoices, follow up on receipts, and question discrepancies.
  • Explain financials and reserves to internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively discuss financial matters with employees and management.
Requirements
  • University degree in Finance or Business Administration; preference for candidates holding or pursuing a professional accounting designation (such as CA, CPA, CMA).
  • Strong background in cost systems with excellent analytical and data management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Information Systems and MS Excel, including experience with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to sort through and categorize data effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to employees and management.
