Team Overview

The Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA) department aims to inspire and connect our clients, communities and colleagues through communications, conversations and advocacy that enrich lives, deliver business outcomes and enhance our brand. We deliver best-in-class external and internal communications to help differentiate TD in the market and elevate our brand. 

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious communications professional to join a team supporting strategic communications for our Finance, Audit, Legal and Risk portfolios. This role plays a key part in crafting high-quality, consistent communications across portfolios, supporting internal and external executive visibility initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in communications performance through insights and data. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, collaborator and project coordinator, with digital and creative fluency and exceptional organization skills.

The successful candidate will:

  • Contribute to communications strategies and content planning to inform internal and external communications across our Finance, Audit, Legal and Risk portfolios.
  • Drive digital content excellence by supporting strategy execution, establishing best practices, and creating visually compelling content across social and internal channels.
  • Own and manage editorial calendars, identifying opportunities to elevate executive visibility and supporting publishing and execution.
  • Write strategic communications materials, including presentations, briefs, speaking notes, and video scripts, and ensure consistency and quality across team outputs.
  • Contribute to the management and continuous improvement of team processes, tools, and ways of working to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and business partners to understand the Bank's priorities and how they should inform messaging and engagements.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and support across the team as needed.

What you bring to the role:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate communications or agency environment.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to develop compelling content for various channels and formats.
  • Digital and creative fluency, including experience supporting social media content and visual asset creation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Interest in corporate communications, executive engagement, and digital storytelling.
  • Graphic design experience is an asset.
  • Undergraduate degree or PR/marketing/corporate communications certification, designations, or equivalent preferred.
