Lead the planning and delivery of integrated communication campaigns and tactics that support initiatives across internal partner groups while aligning with broader organizational priorities.
Serve as a trusted communications advisor to internal partners by proactively identifying communication needs, recommending solutions, and guiding projects from concept through execution.
Research, write, edit, and tailor high-quality communication materials for internal – and occasionally external – audiences, including articles, presentations, all-staff emails, training materials, and newsletters.
Manage the end-to-end execution of communication deliverables, including timelines, approvals, dependencies, and risks, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Deploy approved communication materials across a range of internal channels, continuously evaluating, improving approaches by leveraging new tools, technologies and best practices to enhance engagement.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners by being responsive, professional, and solutions-oriented, and by balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise for assigned partner groups by building a deep understanding of their goals, programs, and operational context, and applying this insight to create effective, relevant communications.
Partner with internal stakeholders to design and implement strategic communication approaches that drive awareness, engagement, and understanding of key programs and initiatives.
Ensure all communications align with HOOPP’s brand standards, tone, and values, maintaining consistency and clarity across channels and audiences.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date communications calendars, project plans, and documentation to support effective project management, transparency, and cross-team coordination.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Enterprise Communications team to align messaging, share best practices, and support integrated communications planning.
Execute communication tactics with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring internal audiences are informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Stay current on emerging communications trends, industry best practices, and new tools, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and applying insights to enhance communication strategies, processes, and channels.
What you bring:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, compelling, and audience-focused content across a variety of formats and channels.
Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal partners, build trust, and influence without authority.
Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills, enabling the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize complex or technical information into clear, practical communications.
High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand, editorial, and governance standards.
Self-starter with a proactive and adaptable approach, able to work independently, anticipate communication needs, and take ownership of deliverables from planning through execution.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, balancing autonomy with alignment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; experience managing or contributing to SharePoint-based intranets and Outlook-based newsletters is considered an asset.
Experience with internal digital communication platforms, such as intranets, newsletters, and enterprise social collaboration tools (e.g., Viva Engage), with an understanding of how to tailor content for different channels.
