POSITION OVERVIEW: 

This role is located at our Yonge Eglinton Centre Office. Reporting to the AVP, Total Rewards, the Coordinator, Total Rewards plays a key role in managing essential processes, administration tasks, report generation, and supporting Total Rewards strategies that align employee rewards with results that support RioCan’s business objectives. This role will oversee employee leave management, support the development of broad-based compensation strategies and incentives, benefit wellness, and contribute to various team projects that will enable RioCan to attract, reward, and retain top talent. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Total Rewards Programs

  • Support key initiatives, including salary reviews, benefits surveys, and other total rewards programs;
  • Develop and maintain a central repository of compensation and benefits materials, guides, and resources for employees;
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing total rewards initiatives.

  • Leave Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end employee leave process, including leave documentation and employee communication.

  • Data & Reporting

  • Generate and analyze Total Rewards reports and dashboards using Excel and HRIS tools;
  • Translate data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

  • General Support & Special Projects

  • Provide administrative support for various total rewards functions, including budgeting, documentation, compliance tracking, and process improvements;
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as needed.

  • Employee Support & Communication

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits, ensuring a positive and supportive employee experience;
  • Develop and enhance materials and resources for Total Rewards initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 2+ years of experience in a Total Rewards Coordinator or similar role;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
