Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve Quality Assurance objectives by monitoring day-to-day activities
- Daily inspection of all sewing, trimming, cutting, down filling, and packing sections of production
- Inspection and follow up on daily repairs from production floor
- Accountable for creating comprehensive reports from daily collected data and timely exchange of results with all stakeholders
- Develop and implement quality improvement activities and policies
- Daily follow up on implementation and maintenance of quality standards
- Inspect and approve/reject pre-production samples
- Provide regular feedback to QA Supervisor regarding garment quality performance
- Respond to quality assurance issues with related departments in order to find a solution and continually improve the performance of quality policies and procedures
- Continuous cross departmental support to manufacturing, product development / product engineering, sales, customer service and marketing
- Must be proactive and take accountability of assigned projects
- Assist in Year End inventory counting of raw materials and finished goods as needed
- Complete all other duties as required to support the mission of the department
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in the garment industry preferred
- Degree in Fashion/Textile Manufacturing preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and pattern-making
- Understanding manufacturing process within the garment industry
- Highly detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, operate proactively, work as a team and handle challenges
- Excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to evaluate options and generate solutions
- Confident, articulate, goal oriented, self-motivated and hard working
