Overview:

As a member of the Contracts Management Group within the Legal Department, the successful candidate will support Mitel’s global contracting activities, with a strong focus on legal review, drafting, risk identification, and mitigation. This temporary position (approximately 12 months) is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in commercial contracting and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, negotiate and administer a wide range of commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with legal standards and business objectives.

  • Analyze contract terms to identify potential legal and business risks and propose practical solutions to mitigate exposure.

  • Interpret complex legal provisions and provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders across sales, procurement, operations, and finance.

  • Ensure contracts comply with internal policies and procedures and escalate issues where necessary to legal leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support business goals while safeguarding Mitel’s legal and commercial interests.

  • Maintain accurate records and manage the contract lifecycle using the contracts database.

  • Perform other legal and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in legal drafting, contract negotiation, and risk analysis within a commercial environment.

  • Proven ability to draft precise and effective legal language tailored to various contract types.

  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving legal risks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with internal teams and external parties.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to perform role in German, supporting the DACH region is considered a strong asset.
