Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in Canada.

We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

As part of our Cost Management team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of construction projects from global, high profile clients to smaller projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time and to budget. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working.

You will oversee major projects, leading on cost management and reporting, robust change control, and maximization of project margin. 

Role Accountabilities: 

• Carry out monthly project reviews on projects and forecast final outturn values for cost and margin
• Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with clients and subcontractors
• Provide support to engineering teams to ensure compliance with the Contract and ensure change is captured
• Lead on claims or dispute settlements
• Act as a subject matter expert for a team of commercial managers

Qualifications

Key Attributes:

• Knowledge of contract execution and able to ensure compliance
• Commercial, cost control, risk management and contract requirements awareness
• Excellent communication skills and leadership potential
• May require travel within Canada, primarily Toronto based

Experience / Qualifications:

• MRICS preferred
• 10+ years experience in contract administration
• 5+ years of major infrastructure experience
• Experience of working in joint ventures
