The Content Marketing Lead is responsible for executing a dynamic, always-on content program that fuels visibility, engagement, and business growth. Reporting to the Global Director of Content Marketing this role owns the editorial content calendar, they translate strategy into execution, ensuring all content helps travelers make confident decisions, generates qualified traffic, and positions the brand prominently across AI, voice, and traditional search.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Execution

  • Manage the global editorial calendar across blog, SEO landing pages, and always-on and evergreen storytelling.

  • Lead content planning meetings to align teams and uncover new opportunities.

  • Deliver content-first initiatives; seasonal, always on and evergreen, and web pages.

  • Partner with SEO, social, performance teams to integrate AI/voice search and SEO best practices.

Editorial & Content Production

  • Write, edit, and publish blog, web, and landing page content with quality, and SEO impact.

  • Help manage freelance writers with the Content & SEO Specialist, providing briefs, edits, and feedback.

  • Maintain the blog as a strategic hub fuelling campaigns, social, email, and PR.

Strategic Tactics

  • Create (and curate) content that supports every stage of the traveler journey.

  • Activate timely content around trends, cultural moments, and seasonal hooks.

  • Refresh evergreen pieces to sustain visibility and traffic.

  • Optimize for AI overviews, voice queries, and rich search features.

  • Leverage UGC to boost authenticity and engagement.

  • Contribute to quarterly zeitgeist decks to guide content planning and cross-functional initiatives.

SEO, Insights & Performance

  • Partner with the SEO team on semantic optimization, schema, and SGE-readiness.

  • Monitor competitors and travel trends to identify gaps and opportunities.

  • Ensure content drives measurable outcomes — qualified traffic, AI/voice discoverability, traveler decision-making, and bookings.

  • Analyze and report on performance (traffic, rankings, CTR, engagement, conversions) using GA4, Heap, and related tools to guide continuous optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Facilitate alignment across Marketing, SEO, Product, and Performance to embed relevant content and storytelling into campaigns and launches.

  • Champion a test-and-learn culture for content innovation.

  • Lead small to mid size content-first initiatives and partner cross-functionally to ensure the right content is created and shows up across the traveler journey
